Fresh Ink, Fresh Care: Lindsey Lea's Guide to Tattoo Aftercare!

Hey there, it's Lindsey Lea from District 6 Tattoos! First off, congrats on your new tattoo – I'm thrilled to have been a part of your ink journey. Now that you've got your fresh art, let's talk about how to take care of it, so it looks amazing for years to come.

1. Wash Your Hands: Before you do anything with your new tattoo, make sure those hands are squeaky clean. We don't want any unwanted bacteria messing with your fresh ink.

2. Day 3: Take off Second Skin: Around day three, it's time to bid farewell to that second skin or bandage I carefully applied after your session. Follow my instructions for removal to ensure your tattoo stays safe and happy.

3. Wash Thoroughly with Antibacterial Soap: Using lukewarm water and a gentle, antibacterial soap, give your tattooed area a good wash. Be gentle but thorough, making sure to remove any blood, ink, or plasma.

4. Pat Dry with a Paper Towel: After washing, gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean paper towel. No rubbing, please – we want to keep that delicate skin happy!

5. Apply a Thin Layer of Non-Scented Lotion: Now it's time to moisturize. Apply a thin layer of non-scented lotion or a tattoo-specific aftercare product to keep your skin hydrated. Don't overdo it though – a little goes a long way.

6. Avoid Soaking in Baths, Showers, or Hot Tubs: For the next couple of weeks, say no to soaking. Quick showers are your friend, and keep that tattoo out of direct water contact as much as possible.

7. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Last but not least, protect your new ink from the sun's harsh rays. UV exposure can fade your tattoo and damage your skin, so slap on some sunscreen if you're heading out.

Following these steps will ensure your new tattoo heals beautifully and stays vibrant. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help you every step of the way.

Enjoy your new tattoo, and wear it proudly!
